Love is at the heart of the universe,
in the particles of the atom,
the ground we walk on,
the air we breathe,
and the longing itself
that draws air into our lungs.
It’s the very attraction between things;
the need for food, for water,
for air, for each other,
for God
There is no yardstick to measure up to,
only acceptance waiting to be discovered.
This mechanism was in the mind of God
when we were created from the dust of the universe.
For the lungs that seek the breath,
and the being that seeks the creator,
this inescapable evolution propelled by need,
is not so much a journey,
as an awareness waiting to be discovered.
